About a week after Sam was born we were the beneficiary of the nicest little tradition in our neighborhood. After someone has a small child, your friends and neighbors, of their own accord, sign up to take turns to cook you complete family dinners and bring them to your house. The idea is that in the weeks following the birth of a new baby, well, things can be pretty hectic. Sam was born on February 23rd, and we are just now getting to the end of the list. Two or three times a week someone would bring a hot meal to our door. Thank you thank you thank you! You guys rock! The food helped a lot, and the process itself made us feel very welcome and amoung friends. A special thank you should go out to our neighbor, the well organized, Suzi Covington, who organized the whole thing. These are the families who helped us during the past 6 weeks. The Wyly's, the Jones's, the Covington's, the Robohm's, the Hoovler's, the Kaine's, the Holmes's, the Sink's, the Hollar's, the Soule's, the Silk's, the Daughtry's, the Hronik's, and the Jenkin's. I will try and be courteous to thank each and every one of you in person, but regardless, your kindness has been deeply appreciated. Once again, thank you.
