My cousin Burney is big into Scouting. His two sons, first Paul, and now Greg (center) have become Eagle Scouts, which I think is pretty cool. I never got that far with Scouting myself. Fate was in my way. Well, okay, it wasn't fate, it was more like me just being a delinquent and hanging out in front of the drugstore all summer. But I did always regret it. My dad was an Eagle scout as well, so that makes 4 Shaws (or 3? Not sure about Burney). Maybe PJ and Sam will continue the Shaw legacy. We'll have to wait and see,

Another interesting thing. If you look closely, you will notice that all three are wearing the "Order of the Arrow" sash. This is an ultra secret scouting award only given to Eagle Scouts who have a neck size of 20 or larger. (kidding!)

Anyway, congrats Greg! Add this event to the ever growing list if things I missed out on because I live down here in Virginia. Sigh. Best of luck to ya!

I have just been informed by my brother that you don't need to an Eagle Scout to be in the order of the arrow. Maybe its just based on neck size? Well, okay I made it up. (ha!) You want more information, just look here.
